Why would a man escape from prison the day before he's due to be released?

Audie Palmer has spent a decade in prison for an armed robbery in which four people died, including two of the gang. What did you like best about Life or Death? What did you like least?

The main character was well developed. I didn't like the constant return to the love interest - it got boring.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

The story was too complex and it seemed deliberately twisted, the bad guys were too obviously bad and the love story was overplayed. More development of the other characters might have helped

I have read all of Robothams O'Loughlin series which I have enjoyed. This novel set in the USA clearly demonstrates what a truly brilliant author he is. wonderful narration, compelling plot believable characters. I heartily recommend this book.

When I started this book, I thought this isn’t my sort of story. How wrong could I be, the story built and twisted and drew me in and then I was listening at every opportunity. The characters were believable and I felt connected to their story. I highly recommend this book.
