A sharp and sweetly twisted protagonist I couldn't help but cheer on (Caroline England)
I loved this book; it got me hooked right from the first page. Natalie's voice is compelling, she is such a good protagonist. Seeing the world from her viewpoint was captivating, especially when all the twists and turns began. I found myself gripped, turning the pages, not knowing what was to come next. It's the type of book that keeps you up at night, that you don't want to put down, and I raced to get to the end to see how it would all turn out (Zoe Lea)
Clever, gripping and gutsy with an unreliable narrator who I trusted and doubted in equal measures, knowing anything could and would happen (Cath Weeks)

This was a pretty gripping book, I've been half listening half reading a copy and I've flown through it. But I was absolutely shocked that it starts with a quite in depth run through of a (SPOILER) rape trial. I've not been through anything like that and it was a really really hard thing to read so I can't imagine what it would have been like to read if I had had anything of the kind happen to me. Audible, please do something about this. I'm going to be saying the same to the library as their copy didn't have any warning either.

NEEDS A TRIGGER WARNING!

Whilst a gripping beginning after a compelling opening, this soon turns into a twisted, yet unrealistic plot. You’ll find yourself asking ‘why?’ a lot, and unfortunately the conclusion does not provide a concrete answer other than confirming the main character is truly unlikable.
