Summary
His world was water and rhythm. Hard work and drive kept Royal O'Connell one step ahead of his competition. His spot on the swim team, keeping his scholarship, was the only plan that mattered.
His world was ebony and ivory. Natural talent and ambition set Camden Morgan apart from the other music majors. His dedication scored him a full ride.
Normally, their paths would have never crossed...but when Royal meets his best friend's new roommate, his big plan and Camden's controlled environment faces a variable that could destroy it all: attraction.
The world they live in had no room for error. That undeniable pull between them was dangerous, and neither one of them could've prepared for the choice they'd have to make.
Love isn't always an easy road, and when everything they've worked for is on the line, they'll have to decide if being together is worth the risk.

I adore this book
I love this book so much.
I was not prepared for this book when I stumbled upon it, but it has melted my heart. I love Royal and Camden's story of discovery and discrimination. Loved following as they learn about themselves and each other. This book tackles some difficult themes and caused me some heart break but ultimately the characters get their HEA. I have fallen in love with this couple and can't wait to listen to Indie & Kai's story next.
Aaron Shedlock and Teddy Hamilton do an amazing as the heroes in this story.

Great audio...
Fantastic audio interpretation of this story from the always fabulous Teddy Hamilton and new-to-me narrator Aaron Shedlock. There was some unnecessary drama in the story which didn't make much sense to me [Uncle] and of course the ubiquitous hate crime by an absolute pig of a jealous swimming jock, although that WAS entirely predictable. Lovely almost lyrical quality to some of the writing, and Royal and Camden made a great team. Not giving anymore of the story away...4 stars for the story and 5 stars for the audio. Yet another Teddy Hamilton winner for me 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Emotional
This book had me crying several times. Made me realise homophobic violence and the need to hide are real things in America. I forget that since homophobia is rare to see in Scotland. I enjoyed this book and the narrators were great.

4,5 ⭐ Beautiful and sweet MM romance
4,5⭐ this is a beautiful story about 2 boys discovering and/or accepting their sexuality. A musician and an swimmer, in college, and there is a ton of other drama at play here. Mental health and special needs are included in a very tasteful way. We follow them as they struggle to accept the!selves and develop their relationship.
The story is really sweet, heart warming, beautiful and with some steam the is quite spicy 🌶 even if not the focus here.
Free on KU and plus catalogue audible too.
Aaron Shedlock and Teddy Hamilton were absolutely, breathtakingly amazing with the narration here. This is such a different way to here Aaron's voice but I liked it very much, it shows how versatile he is. 100% recommend.

Nothing special
Predictable, unoriginal, totally redundant addition to the genre. Lack of tension except for two stereorype homophobes. And I don't get how a psychiatrist, having finished medical school, is not educated on modern gay facts. I mean, where did she get her literature? Is there a specialized publisher for medical professionals maintaining 50 year old theories?

Excruciatingly painful!
Picked this story on the strength of being narrated by Teddy Hamilton.... that is its only good point.
Good grief the constant whining by the main characters drove me to distraction.
"Let there be light" should have been titled "Let there be an end.....quick"
