When the ruling class commoditise the organs of the desperate, who will stop them? When Darren O’Reilly’s daughter is found murdered with her kidney extracted, he refuses to believe the police’s explanation that Egyptian immigrant Ubaid Almasi has murdered her.

His quest for the truth reaches the ears of Bruce McQuillan, the leader of the shadowy Chameleon Project. The stakes rise as a conspiracy of seismic proportions begins to reveal itself, Bruce realizes he needs a man of exceptional skill and ruthlessness. He needs a predator who can move freely within the criminal underworld.

He needs Connor Reed.

I love the Connor Reed Series and I am now listening to them as they come out on Audible. The accents and story is much better in this version.

The story is told so much better by Frank!

Darren O'Reilly's daughter is murdered and found with a kidney missing, what follows is a fast paced thriller which sees Anti-hero Connor Reed fly fist first into the murky world of kidnapping, murder and organ theft for profit. Bruce McQuillan's shadowy chameleon project headed up by Reed set out to untangle the vast conspiracy and set right the scales of justice. breathtaking from start to finish, loved it and roll on the next installment.

A pulse-pounding thriller that solidifies Quentin Black's anti-hero Connor Reed as a force to be reckoned with

was disappointed in Frank Coles interpertation off Conner and Bruce personally I thought Mike Rogers performance was far better.
The story was built up as it went on as previous book.

if you haven't been introduced to Connor you should really start at the beginning - strap in it's a great ride, well written series that I honestly can't wait to continue. I'm currently re-reading from the beginning. Comparisons never really do this series justice but if you like Reacher, Bond, criminal underworld stories you definitely shouldn't let this one pass by. The only slight let down for me is I am not a fan of the narrator & his accents that he uses for the characters. He should probably have read the book straight without trying his hand at the regional accents and definitely not tried a woman's voice. I may be in the minority but on occasion I play books out loud rather than through headphones, if my wife was nearby she would insist I turn it off or leave the room because of these accents rather than listen in as she has done with other books.

Amazing series, could do with better narration
