Summary

Part two of a three-part serial.

The unmissable second instalment of Jenny Colgan's return to the Little School by the Sea - perfect for anyone who ever dreamed of going to boarding school!

After the scandals of the summer, life has settled down for Maggie Adair and the girls of Downey House. But Ismé, the new scholarship girl, is causing trouble.

Downey House is preparing for Christmas - the halls are decorated, the play is in rehearsal - but it doesn't seem to be the most wonderful time of the year. Will the school be able to pull together to celebrate the festive season?

In Lessons: Part 2, Christmas comes to the Little School by the Sea.

The 2nd part of a book split into 3.

I have no idea why the three parts of ‘Lessons’ haven’t been combined into one book! Each one is only two hours long. It’s very unfair to charge a whole credit for each part.

More happens in this part than the first part, so that’s an improvement. More entertaining than the first part. Would make much more sense to present the whole story as one whole complete story which would make me give it much higher scores. Interesting that it initially broaches the idea of an in school relationship, I want to see what happens with that in the next part.

The narrator is fabulous, perfect for this story.

Please, please combine these three parts into one book.

Boring

Even more boring than the first part.
But I’d already purchased all 3 parts.

This was just so dull. Nothing happens. The whole thing drags along. Terrible.
