Would you consider the audio edition of Lessons I've Learned to be better than the print version?

If you can listen to Davina, then her narration certainly adds to the experience. She writes as she speaks; I'd normally find that a bit irritating, but this book is a gem.

What did you like best about this story?

Her honesty and the fact that it's filled with practical and sensible advice to help with so many day to day dilemmas. No essence, there's a lot of self help, but it's wrapped into her own journey, dealing with addiction and other demons. It's a moving and emotional tale and one that brought me close to tears more than once. But overall it's a surprisingly rewarding listen.

Her voice and inflection. She's bouncy.

Often humorous, this book surprised me. It's filled with nuggets of wisdom. It's honest, heartbreaking and heartwarming and I enjoyed it.

Always had a soft spot for Davina and having listened to Lessons I’ve Learned I just want to be her friend. This book is hilarious, it’s poignant, it’s informative....it’s an insight into someone you may have preconceived ideas about but she comes across as a rounded, thoughtful, intelligent woman with a slightly different side persona - the one that we see on TV.
The narration is brilliant and wouldn’t have worked so well if anyone else had told it. I felt like she was talking to me, no chatting to me and me alone.
It’s not your traditional biography but you do get an insight into her upbringing and her life. I’d like to hear Lessons I’ve Learned part 2 later on which would set out the lessons she’s learned when her children have grown up and following her marriage breakdown. They seemed the perfect couple!
But for anyone listening, the penultimate chapter about her sister’s passing had my eyes filling up. Wow. Riveting stuff. What a sister she was!

Davina's warmth and humour really shine through and I was really inspired to take a long hard look at how I'm living my life and adjust my mindset. I love how open and honest is Davina is about very personal events that have happened in her a life. A truly inspiring read and I throughly recommend. Thank you for sharing your life Davina. I love you lots.
