Legends and Lattes is an excellent book, an easy going read\listen with a splash of mischief.
Val, an adventurer, decides to hang up her sword and stay away from the blood drenched work and open a coffee shop.
Narration is excellent, the description of the world is done so well that sometimes you could swear you can smell the coffee beans or the delicious pastries being baked. My one criticism is the book was too short, I wanted more!
I recommend this book to everyone.

The book was a refreshing break from my usual, darker reads and I loved every moment of it!
The characters are well thought out who feel real, despite the fact that they are non-human. The relationship between them feels natural, their inner struggles, relatable.
I particularly liked the pacing of this book. There was never a boring moment and every chapter mattered. The length of the chapters combined with the flawlessness of the writing makes this an easy and enjoyable read.
Travis's descriptions are so expressive that I not only saw everything like a movie but could almost smell the lightly charamelized and nutty scent of the brewing coffee or the sweet, intoxicating aroma of the cinnamon rolls.
This was a bit of a double edged sword for me as I had a constant craving for latte and cinnamon roll every time I set down to read the book.
In Legends and Lattes there is no world threatening event that can only be stopped by the chosen one whose coming was foretold by a prophecy centuries ago. No villain that tries to take over the world. And no world shattering revelations. In Legends and Lattes there is true friendship, perseverance, hard work and a little bit of romance.
If you are looking for a book that puts a smile on your face, you found it.
