Summary

From New York Times and USA Today best-sellers Vi Keeland and Dylan Scott comes the heart wrenchingly beautiful story of Nikki and Zack.

Two stories so deeply intertwined, you'll think you know how they intersect.... but you'll be wrong.....

Zack Martin

The day I met Emily Bennett my whole world changed. Sure, we were just kids, but I was old enough to know my life would never be the same. She was my best friend. My destiny. My fate. I wasn't wrong... I just didn't know how twisted fate could be.

Nikki Fallon

After the death of my mother, moving from my dark and dreary trailer park to sunny California, I was focused on one thing - finding a sister I'd only just learned existed. Falling in love with him wasn't part of the plan. But he filled a void I never knew was possible to fill. He had to be my fate. My destiny. Until the day I finally found out who my sister was... and how twisted fate could be.

It put me to sleep

Bought the audible. Performer was not good at all, it was boring and put me to sleep. Sometimes an ok book can be a better book with a good narrator.

Good storyline. Poor narration.

I have listened to dozens of audiobooks but cannot remember one that was so poorly narrated. It is interesting to me that there was no correction or editing of mispronounced words. Those mistakes certainly interfered with the telling of the story.

Liked it but...

I'm a huge fan of Vi Keeland and when I saw this in the romance package I finally decided to dive in. While overall I liked it I think this may be a book better in print. It's told in dual POV and there is only one narrator. There wasn't enough distinction for me between the heroines voice and the heroes.

Performance was annoying

The story itself was ok. The performance had so many issues. Misread sentences, that were fixed mid recording. Mispronounced words. Awkward silences in the middle of readings. Not happy at all.

Great Story

I’ve listened to several books by this author and I’ve enjoyed them all. This book is different to the others I’ve listened to, but was still a very good book my only complaint was the narrator. I’m not sure why anyone would pay her to narrate their book, but it’s still worth listening to.

Innocent

This is the first review I've written. This book takes you on a very emotional journey. It's not as hard to figure out as you may think in the beginning but it does not distract from the story. The male perspective in this story is what kept me coming back. Stop reading reviews and get this book!

Great Suspense and Feeling Storyline

Great storyline, kept you guessing. Definitely a tear jerker. Enjoyed the book very much.

Lousy Narration

Mispronounced words pulled me right out of the story and the awkward timing was equally disconcerting.

Slowly Left Behind

I struggled with this story for a couple of reasons. I was annoyed with Zack Martin putting up with Emily Bennett's "mean girl" plastic attitude for far longer than her should have. He was so unhappy yet stayed in the relationship well past it's life which frustrated me to the end. I felt upset and a little confused at Zack's survivors guilt because I didn't think it was justified due to Emily's previous behaviors.
When Nikki Fallon's mom passes away, I'm also annoyed with her Aunt. Not knowing if her only living relative wants to keep her is emotional sabotage and frustrating to always feel like you're going to be on trial in a new home and new state away from all the things you've grown up with. When Nikki finds out about her twin she secretly wants to find her and how their lives went different ways.
This story was good, but for me it moved too slow and I nearly didn't finish.

Great storyline

Everytime I thought it would end one way it totally changed! I wish this book would have been a series, maybe even picked up on Ashley's story.
