This course consists of lessons centered on an audio blog that is completely in Japanese. The audio blog postings take you around Japan and introduce you to many different aspects of the country, including culture, history, folklore, the arts, and more. You will learn all about many different cities, and what they are famous for. Along the way, you'll pick up sophisticated expressions and advanced grammar in this audio blog series presented entirely in Japanese.
The lesson starts with the Japanese blog, at native speed. Finally, practice what you have learned with the review track. In the review track, a native speaker will say a word or phrase from the dialogue, wait three seconds, and then give you the English definition. Say the word aloud during the pause. Halfway through the review track, the order will be reversed. The English definition will be provided first, followed by a three-second pause, and then the word or phrase from the dialogue. Repeat the words and phrases you hear in the review track aloud to practice pronunciation and reinforce what you have learned.

Much better than expected
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
If a friend was at about my level in Japanese, able to read but not quickly, and still leaning heavily on the dictionary to read a newspaper, this is a good choice.
Any additional comments?
My review went up to four stars when I saw the pdf download that comes with it. There doesn't seem to be any way to access that from the mobile device. The pdf has a transcript in Kanji, another one in Kana, another in romaji, then a translation for all chapters. That makes this exactly what I'm looking for. I have not touched any of my foreign languages since about 10 years ago and I have been feeling some decline in my skills. I was hoping to find something like this, and didn't think the advanced level would be this well served.I would really love to see more like this on Audible. If they come out with more at this level and higher, I will buy them.
