The story line was a bit boring and didn't hold my interest.
Karen Cass is one of my favorite Narrators, she did a great job as always .

While Clark’s writing is gentle and easy to read, the overall pacing felt quite sluggish. The characters were well-intentioned, but I struggled to build a strong connection with any of them or feel truly invested in their journeys. Unfortunately, the narrative emotional beats lacked spark and tension, leaving the entire story feeling remarkably flat from start to finish.
It isn't a bad book—it makes for a light, quiet read if you enjoy low-stakes family dramas—but it didn't leave much of a lasting impression. Satisfying enough for a quiet afternoon, but ultimately missing the spark needed to make it memorable.
