About this listen

*The thrilling new novel from Lucy Clarke, THE SURF HOUSE, is available to buy now* ‘Impossible to put down' Clare Mackintosh

Seven years ago, two boys went missing at sea – and only one was brought to shore. The Sandbank, a remote stretch of coast dotted with beach huts, was scarred forever.

Sarah’s son survived, but on the anniversary of the accident, he disappears without trace. As new secrets begin to surface, The Sandbank hums with tension and unanswered questions. Sarah’s search grows more desperate and she starts to mistrust everyone she knows – and she’s right to.

Someone saw everything on that fateful day seven years ago. And they’ll do anything to keep the truth buried.

Last Seen is a gripping, twisty psychological thriller that begs you to keep turning the pages.

Absolutely absorbing plot and characters that were brought to life by the author.

The twists and turns came from the blue and to the last line I wanted to be on that Sandbank.

Thoroughly enjoyable casual listening.

I am glad I read this - it was gentler than my normal fare but with twists, sadnesses and resolutions. Yes - good

A good yarn well narrated

I wasn't too sure about this one - but added it to my '2 for 1' basket and took the risk. Good choice as it turned out. I very much got pulled into the story which quite genuinely had a constant stream of twists, not all of which I saw coming. Worth its full rate let along the discounted one.

Surprisingly good

It took me a few chapters to get into this one (not sure why) but once I had I was glad I’d stuck with it. There were a few twists and turns (some I saw coming and some I didn’t) and the performances were good. I do love a beach hut so I enjoyed the setting of this book as well. Worth a listen.
