About this listen

Teresa Barrera has finally moved back home after running away when she was 15. Things are better for her than they were then. She's out as a trans lesbian, has a good job, and is in the promising start of a new relationship. To top it all off, she's back in contact with her sister, who has completely accepted her. She's not ready to tell the rest of her family, but that's okay.

Lian Hui, a private investigator who had searched for Teresa for years, is surprised when they become friends. Not much of a people person and prone to bouts of anxiety, she finds herself drawn to Teresa's kindness and patience. When Teresa's relationship turns sour, Lian steps up as the friend Teresa needs most.

As Teresa and Lian become closer, they find the line between friendship and romance can be a blurry, confusing thing.

couldn't wait to listen to this being part two as I enjoyed the first story in this series and wasn't let down as good for me as wanting her story line and the characters few laughs and sad parts, it was great to hear a little about viv, april , and markayla as part of this story all in all for me excellent would recommend a good read or listen... narrator all the voices excellent

Not quite as good as 'Wanting Her', this audiobook is still pretty good. Unlike Book 1 there is only one minor sex scene early on, but that fits in with the way the relationship between Lian and Theresa develops. Viv ,April and Michaela pop up which is good to see how they are doing. I feel the two books have not really rounded the 'Barreras Series' out very well, and I'm left slightly disappointed. There is an epilogue which sheds some light on how Lian and Rachel are doing but then at the very end we get a 'sort of cliff-hanger' to do with Zoey ? I wonder if the author intended more books and either has not got around to it or just not had them published ? This genre is tough because of the 'smaller' audience but authors and publishers should think of the 'readers' that get short changed when series are not completed !
The narrator does another good job (being picky Lian sound a bit weird).
