Knocked Down is a single dad/neighbor romance involving Griffin, a restaurant owner and dad, and Ava, his next door taco-loving neighbor who creates book covers and sells spicy toys. This was a quick listen and involved a bit of insta lust/love. I really liked Griffin and Levi and I liked how Ava was with Levi. I also really liked Griffin's patience and persistence. He was just an all around good guy as evidence by his role as a dad and his relationships with his brother and his sister in law. I did struggle with Ava and Griffin's relationship. I didn't feel the connection with them and their relationship seemed very lust-based. I also struggled with Ava's back and forth. While she had a dfficult past when it came to relationships, I am really not sure what more Griffin could have done to prove he was all in, and her hesistation became too much after a while. I really wanted to love this story as I have really enjoyed many of this author's books, but it was just ok for me. I also struggled with the narration a little, but that did lesson as the book went on.

Oh the men in the Fighting Love series! Nikki Ash keeps my heart full with her stories nd this one is no exception. When Ava moves in next door to Griffin, she has no intention of being more than friends. Two bad relationships have soured her off men, but there is something about her new neighbor that keeps her heart pattering. Griffin isn't looking for his forever love. After all, he has to watch out for Levi too. But her accent, and the t-shirts, and Maverick the dog all tug at his heart. And the more she pushes, the more he pulls. Secret, sexy times and fun family oriented outings all are fun, but when push comes to shove, will Ava give into her feelings for Griffin? Bringing in all the past characters is just icing o the cake for this quickie! Grab it if you need you heart to be happy!

Duncan Prescott and Marlaina Garrett make an amazing team as they build Ava and Griffin's love. Duncan has a warmth and humor to his voice that makes him endearing and impossible not to love. Garrett comes through with her accent, and creates an amazing woman trying to trust again. This is a fabulous listen.

Knocked Down is the fourth book in the Fighting Love series. It can be enjoyed as a standalone book. This is a single dad romance. Griffin and his son just moved to a new apartment. When they were moving in, they met their new neighbor and her dog. Ava has sworn off men. She had been cheated on by her past two boyfriends and had decided that she didn't need a man. She had enough battery-operated ones to satisfy her. Griffin needed a babysitter last minute and Ava agreed to watch his son. Griffen had been known as a player. When he saw Ava for the first time, he knew she was the one. Now he just needed to convince her that too!

Marlaina Garrett and Duncan Prescott did a great job narrating this book.

Loved the narration of Duncan Prescott and Marlaina Garrett

Ava and Griffin meet when Ava's dog Maverick licks Levi Griffin’s son in the hallway of their apartment building. Griffin likes Ava but she has been hurt before and tells herself no more men. The more time spent together increases their attraction to each other. The chemistry between these two is brilliant and hot. Both learning to allow the other in and the humour.
I was laughing, crying and fanning myself.
