Another brilliant Dick Francis. Full of action and suspense right up to the end.

Brilliant story

The combination of writer and narrator cannot be beaten in my opinion, though occasionally the recording suffers from being muffled. No-one writes a death scene for a loved one like Dick Francis, who could have guessed that a thriller writing ex-jockey could be so good with emotions. I've also discovered that Tony Britton at 1.25 speed, morphs into Richard Briers!

I read this 25 years ago and saw it on audible and now it's on my phone and it a good story to hear when what u are doing something that bored get it for £6 like me from audible

I love the way Dick Francis writes. This book displays his research and empathy at it's best, the struggles of loving an alcoholic. Always will be my choice to read or listen to. Thank you.
