Klopfzeichen ist eine Erzählung von Nadja Bucher die auf Basis eines Gesprächs mit Siegried Hermann (geboren 1912) beruht.
Es war 1927 und ich arbeitete seit einem Jahr in der Warenübernahme des Besteck-Erzeugers Berndorf in der Nähe von Baden. Ursprünglich wollte ich zwar Schneiderin werden, aber mein Vater, Nebenerwerbsbauer in Sankt Veit, konnte mir keine Ausbildung in Wien ermöglichen. Er sorgte jedoch dafür, dass ich eine Stelle in der Warenübernahme bei Berndorf bekam, und so fing ich, bereits mit fünfzehn Jahren, dort zu arbeiten an.
