About this listen

Bounty hunter Morgan Bailey is still recouping from her latest vampire kill when she receives a new assignment: hunt down the sunwalker who stole a priceless amulet from a mysterious millionaire. Sunwalkers - vampires who are immune to sunlight - are notoriously difficult to find, let alone kill, but Morgan’s not worried. She’s never met a vampire she couldn’t dust. But when this particular sunwalker comes looking for her…well, all bets are off.

Because not only is he cunning and charming, he is undeniably gorgeous - and in possession of an ancient secret that, if unleashed, could destroy the human world. Making matters worse, a strange darkness has awakened inside of Morgan, threatening to overwhelm her unless she can uncover the truth about the amulet everyone so desperately wants.

With a kick-ass heroine and captivating supporting cast, Kissed by Darkness launches an addictive new series for fans of urban fantasy.

Loved this book! Good story even if Morgan is a bit slow at times lol. Didn't spoil the story at all.

Am so pleased by this book. A new favorite author found, a lot a new ideas, fantastic writing style, same as world building and storytelling, and good character building as well. New take on vampires, one I have to declare as my favorite as of yet. More in line with Ilona Andrews, a big favorite, so my fandom is maybe not a big surprise. But, I love this book. How Shéa MacLeod takes old myths and history, and reshapes to fit and build her story. Absolutely love her view and how she tells it. The drama of it calls to me in a big way. At the same time how she tells the story and her choice of narrator is so amazingly down to earth. I believe every word and love the heroine. Furthermore the surrounding cast is superb, have to mention that as I have never heard or seen such normal warmth in a side kick as here. Love how the side kicks are written in this book. And it adds to the story in a wonderful way. Amazing story, author and narrator. So much to love. Enjoy!
