When Cedar Cosmo's sister and Piper's brother Sawyer arrive in Piney Hills, bodies start turning up. Both relatives are keeping secrets. Are these secrets going to put everyone in danger. This story has so many twists and turns I have whip lash. Brilliant addition to the series. Karen T Miller's narration is excellent

I enjoyed this unusual cozy mystery.

There is a lot going on in this book with two different family members possibly being in trouble with the law. This means two things, it kept you guessing as to what was really going on and the story jumps around. Especially with Lanie and Piper both getting to tell there side of the story. This does work for the story but I think it works best if you have read the previous books, as it can get confusing with all the different characters and relationships if you are starting with this book. However the characters are so much fun and there are certainly some quirky ones to entertain you.

There was a number of mysteries running in this book from the murders to what was Sawyer up to and what was wrong with Cedar.. I never did come up with the right answer and was surprised with all the twists.
Look forward to the next book.
Lanie and Cosmo are surprised to get an unexpected visit from his sister. Cosmo is just pleased to see her but Lanie picks up on the tension and worry coming from her sister-in-law but Cedar is keeping secrets and doesn't want any help. Can Lanie convince her otherwise? At the same time the couple adopted daughters estranged brother suddenly turns up looking for somewhere to stay. He too is keeping secrets. Then the bodies start turning up and both Lanie and Piper fears a family member could be involved in them. Can they uncover the secrets and keep there loved ones out of jail.
I like the narrator. She gives she character there own distinctive voice making the story easy to follow and listen too.
