the character and plot is really outstanding. I started this book not sure if I was going to enjoy it, but I've just finished and I'm starting it again because I miss the characters already!

I loved everything about this story, the humour, the FMC’s quirks and the MMC’s unwavering devotion, the spice and oh my word the narration was perfection!!! Loved it!!!

Okay, this book was completely unhinged… and I absolutely loved it. 😆

This is definitely not your typical love story, which is why I've given the romance a 7 rather than a 10. But honestly, that completely works for this book. Delphine and Dig are chaotic, weird and ridiculously entertaining together.

Delphine was easily my favourite character. The fact that she spends so much time basically running away from Dig despite very clearly fancying him had me laughing. 😂

And the humour! 10/10. I can't even choose one funniest moment because the whole book made me laugh. It's dark, completely ridiculous in places and knows exactly what kind of book it wants to be. You really can't take any of it too seriously — and that's exactly why it works.

But underneath all the insanity, there was more heart than I expected. One particular moment with Dig genuinely got me, and I loved the way his feelings for Delphine developed without suddenly turning him into a completely different character.

The narration was also fantastic. Annabelle Tudor, Dominic Gruenewald and Jacob Morgan were all brilliant and absolutely understood the assignment. The performances made the comedy land even harder and suited the craziness of the story perfectly.
if you want something dark, spicy, hilarious, completely unhinged and ridiculously entertaining, absolutely give it a go.
Sometimes apparently all you need is a little romance, a lot of chaos and several deeply questionable people. 😂🖤
