About this listen

The game is over...there’s nowhere to hide.

When Lenchester’s most famous sportsman is shot dead, DCI Whitney Walker and her team are thrown into the world of snooker. She calls on forensic psychologist Dr. Georgina Cavendish to assist, but the investigation takes them in a direction that has far-reaching international ramifications.

Much to Whitney’s annoyance, an officer from one of the Met's special squads is sent to assist. But as everyone knows...three’s a crowd.

I’m glad Sally started mixing things up and deviating from the usual formula. I’m loving these. I’ve listened to all the first 9 In about three weeks. Can’t stop listening.

Loving the new style

I'm really enjoying this series. The characters are developing with each book, and are all likeable. Plot lines are good, and excellent narration. The only odd thing for me was the character of Seb Clifford who features in his own series, but is narrated by a completely different person, so the voice is totally different. It's a minor irritation in the scheme of things.

They get better and better.

Claire Corbett is a fantastic narrator and as is Sally Rigby as an author. The characters, there relationships and knowledge she has to know in order to make these books as good as they are is remarkable. I think these are a brilliant combination and I love every minute of listening to these books while drawing. There are a few key details repeated in each book that I have seen people discredit the book for doing so, but i do not believe there is anything wrong with a refresher of details, not for me anyways.

Brilliant as always
