Walker

There’s nothing better than a packed house on a Saturday night, and co-owning the hottest restaurant and bar in town with my best friends isn’t so bad either. We put everything into Burgers and Brew. Low angst and sweet but sometimes a little plodding, Walker is a player but once he sees Mallory and her daughter, he flips. A little unbelievable but hey, we get our HEA and I smiled a lot of the way through. pJ Morgan and Scott Rose are new to me but really well cast with their voices. They also did a great job overall. this is a new author to me. I enjoyed this story of a strong H and h. Mallory moves to a new place to start over. she works at burgers n brew. Walker is one of the owners. she is admant on doing things by herself with no help. Walker has helped from Lizzy with her mom.

Kickstart My Heart by Lacey Black is a contemporary single mom romance that I listened to on audio narrated by PJ Morgan and Scott Rose.

This is my first book of Lacey's, and it won't be my last. I really enjoyed the relationship that bloomed between Walker and Mallory. I liked that we got both of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

I can't wait for the next book in the series Don't Go Away Mad to be released on audio so I can get Jasper and Lyndee's story.

PJ and Scott did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you like contemporary romances, single mom romances, found family romance, or small-town romances.

I love a hood single mom story and this one didn’t disappoint! Walker is the epitome of the reluctant MC who fights his attraction until her realizes it’s futile and falls hard and fast for mom and daughter. Such a sweet cute listen.

I enjoyed listening to Kickstart my Heart. Lacey Black is a relatively new author to me and I really enjoyed the previous (and first) book I listened so I decided to give this one a try and do not regret it. I’m actually looking forward to the rest of the series.

This book has a bit of everything one enjoys in a rom-com - banter, friendship, family shenanigans, a bit of drama and of course a Happy Ever After.

PJ Morgan and Scott Rose were brilliant as Mallory and Walker.
