About this listen

Finding Molly Parsons was just the beginning for this group of friends-turned-family.

Faith has found her soulmate in Nathalie, while Mateo finally reels in his long-time crush, Daniel. And just when Molly thinks it might be her turn, love slips right through her fingers. Carmen Ruiz has gone in search of the something—or someone—that placed the first shackle around her heart. She knows that the key to her future lies in her past. What she doesn’t realize is that her journey will be the catalyst for an unforgettable, cross-country quest for love and liberation.

An unexpected reckoning leads Faith and Molly back to the heart of Kentucky. A fire station delivers more than just eye candy for Enid. And a mysterious woman named Mariana receives a guest she’s been waiting 37 years to meet again. With the ever-sparkling Mateo and the incorrigible Enid Butcher by their sides, Faith, Molly, and Carmen travel from one coast to the other, making amends on their way back to The Sunflower Ranch.

This place that first brought them all together now poses questions that will test their bonds. Will Faith mend the strained relationship with her mother, Maureen? Can Mateo forge a life without his big sister and protector? And is Molly ready to keep Carmen’s heart—for good?

In this story of forgiveness, closure, and redemption, the Ruiz-Parsons clan navigate uncharted territory, facing each new challenge together. Through it all, they reaffirm that family bonds forged by choice are the most unbreakable, and that true love is always worth the wait.

I loved this book, it just seemed to have it all, found family, serious issues that need to be worked through, an amazing dose of humour and characters to die for. Best read, or listened to, as the second book in a series as you will have a better understanding of who's who and what's been going on. It continues from where the last book ended, we delve more into Carmen's past and see Molly trying to resolve things from her past too. We watch Faith develop more into her own skin and Mateo mature into his relationship with Daniel. We also get full-on Enid, she is a character unto herself but don't be fooled by her loud, brash, straight talking ways, she is a rock to the whole clan and genuinely looks out for her friends pushing them just enough to help them past their fears.
Sadie Provost does a great job of bringing the characters to life and keeps the different accents consistent throughout. Would definitely recommend the audiobook as it is so well done.

Best read or listened to as the second book in a series.

This is a great story of surviving life and embracing the new beginnings. It's a delightful romance with beautiful friendships. Learning to love, and just be oneself has never been so much fun on this journey. 💖
Excellent narration.🎶

ANOTHER GREAT EPISODE.💖

Top end ice hockey player Sarah is more than an olympian gold and when she is late for an extra mural Irish literature course she has decided to do in her spare time she runs into the disapproval of Claire her literature professor. Divorced from a professional league football player and with a 10 year old daughter, someone like Sarah is bottom of her favourites list and top of the avoid list.

It turns out it's not so simple as that as they share a passion for writing and there's attraction and reluctance in equal measure. But both are at crossroads in their lives and it's this growing realisation that poses the tough questions and choices.

The narration compliments the characters and story. Claire's daughter Maddie adds to the mix. I felt the opportunity to round out this part of the narrative was an opportunity missed especially as a single parent Claire had striven to give Maddie a good upbringing.

A great HEA listen and you will learn the symbolism of how a claddagh ring is worn and what it means.
