This is masterful storytelling; I was hooked, but not in the usual way of a book opening with a dead woman. This is a feminist tale of the subtleties and hidden nature of abuse, but so well told -with authenticity and beauty- it was absolutely addictive. The narration was brilliant too. Highly recommend!
