Summary

Kane & Abel for a new generation!!

They had only one thing in common - William Lowell Kane and Abel Rosnovski, one the son of a Boston millionaire, the other a penniless Polish immigrant. Two men born on the same day on opposite sides of the world, their paths were destined to cross in the ruthless struggle to build a fortune.

The marvellous story, spanning 60 years, of two powerful men linked by an all-consuming hatred, brought together by fate to save - and finally destroy - each other.

Superb listen

Absolutely superb listen, couldn't tear myself away from it, the characters are well drawn and the twists and turns of the plot kept me hooked till the end. My only disappointment is that the sequel the prodigal daughter, is only available in an abridged version on audible... Please put this right!!!

Splendid. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Compulsive

I saw the tv dramatisation years ago and looked forward to this production. I wasn't disappointed. It's very, very good and I recommend you get on with listening to it now

Kane and Abel - loved this book
Loved this book when I read it many many moos ago
And loved listening to it second time around
I did like the narrator Jason Culp but sometimes found Williams voice quite weak.

Absolutely excellent

In my opinion this is one of Archers best. I have listened to it several times. The sequel The Prodigal Daughter is also excellent.

Superb Book, Great Story

I wasn't sure about reading (or listening) to a Jeffrey Archer book, thought it would be the sort of book that has an overly complicated plot or be very political and dull. Very pleasantly surprised to find this to be an excellent story and one of my favourite books now. It has a great story, following the lives of two men, from birth to death, and how their lives eventually overlap. A very easy listen and a really great and enthralling story from beginning to end.

the narrator was excellent as well.

Great story, well worth the time

Really enjoyed this audio book, usually listen to a book on my way to bed. So many times I kept extending the sleep timer.
Archer writes some great stories

A real masterpiece

I am writing this in tears, having finished the book. So beautifully written, the biggest applause cause to Jeffrey Archer for bringing a female stubborn old fool - to tears. I truly enjoyed every minute I invested into reading this book and would recommend it to the whole world, if that’s humanly possible. Instead, I’ll recommend it to the people who I already know, yet to know or will never know (those reading this comment).
Lots of love and gratitude that this book was even written.
