Ainsley is still reeling from her ex-husband's infidelity, but Kade's interest is helping her move on. But the pitfalls of being famous, Kade's temper and Ainsley's need to protect not only her daughter but her heart have things in turmoil. Anthony weaves a look at real people. Yes, Kade is famous, but his problems are like anyone else's. Maddie is frustrating to say the least, but being a mom, it is easy to relate to her thinking. This is a fabulous second chance romance and is one to be enjoyed.

Lee Daniels and Gregory Salinas make a wonderful narration team. Daniels has a phenomenal voice, and she tunes into each part of Maddie's insecurities. It has made her real and easy to believe. Salinas has a smooth voice that he adds the emotions Kade goes through and he too creates the realistic feel. I enjoyed these two together and hope to hear them together again.

This book had me interested since before it was available. I finally was able to listen to it, and I’m so mad it took so long. This book had me turned around and upside down. I stayed up and only got 2 hours of sleep. I just couldn’t put it down. I will be looking for more from this author. I really enjoyed the writing. The narrators did a really good job with the dialogue.

Amazing dual narration from Lee Daniels and Gregory Salinas

Ainsley is getting over a cheating husband, when she gets the chance to meet her rockstar crush Kade from Black Diamond, she jumps at it. When Kade set eyes on Ainsley he changes from a playboy into someone who would move heaven and earth for her. Can she trust him! Amazing chemistry and such ups and downs.

This is a fantastic second chance rockstar romance, it is my first book written by Jane Anthony and I am looking forward to checking out more of her books. I enjoyed her writing style, the amazing characters and interesting storylines that captivated my attention the entire time. As a huge fan of rockstar romance novels, I appreciated her originality of the story and the complexity of the character, which added depth and layers to the story. Kade Black is the lead singer of Black Diamond, at first glance you think he is your typical angsty, always getting into trouble rockstar, ok, maybe he is that but we learn he is so much more than the reputation he has as a bad boy rockstar. But it takes a special someone to show us who he really is, a special someone whose primary focus is her young daughter. Ainsley Daniels is still getting over the betrayal of her cheating husband and is trying to make sense of her life when her best friend, who will work with her favorite band, Black Diamond, asks her to be her assistant while her daughter is away with her husband for a month. She agrees to and was not expecting to feel such a strong connection with Kade Black, who felt the same draw and connection. The chemistry between these two was undeniable and the three weeks with Kade was amazing, but Ainsley, who tends to over think things, is not sure how she will fit into his world when the tour is over. She is a single mom who lives in New Jersey and he is a rock god who lives in Los Angeles, so she breaks both their hearts by leaving the tour a week early. Kade will not allow it to end like that and he will not give up on her, she is his light, his muse and his heart. This book is Ainsley’s book as it is Kade, maybe even more so but we do get to hear Kade’s back story when he finally opens up. This is a wonderfully plotted story with plenty of drama, angst, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. Jane Anthony, thank you for this great story and the emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the wonderful narration, Lee Daniels and Gregory Salinas are superbly talented narrators and versatile voice artists. They had a complete understanding of the characters they portrayed, gave each a voice that was a perfect fit for their character’s persona, and were believable in every role they played. Salinas rocks it as Kade, easily went from a swoon worthy rockstar to a hot-tempered one when warranted. Daniels’ Ainsley was spot on, grasping all sides of her personality. Both were great at performing the roles of the secondary characters as well. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and projected them into their performance and had you feeling every single one. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to and their narration enhances this great story to another level. Thank you for another amazing listen.
