Summary

It’s Christmas time again and Shae can’t wait to slide into Jingle—his elf persona—for a few weeks at the Frostdale mall. The costumes, the scents, the bright laughter, his friends. It all fuels him for the rest of the year. What he doesn’t anticipate is his entire world changing when his best friend moves back home after being away for eight long years.

Trace has had one goal in mind since his family moved away from Frostdale and that’s to get back. He’s finally saved enough money after college, and he’s home just in time for the holidays. He doesn’t expect to see Shae as anything other than his best friend, but once they’re together again, sparks fly and he can’t help but realize he wants something more.

Jingle is a best friends to lovers, sweet and spicy MM romance featuring a talented pianist that moonlights as a mall elf every Christmas and a web developer that wants to help unwrap him. Jingle is part of the Merry Elf-Mas multi-author series. Each story can be listened to as a standalone, but why not come along for the ride as each of Santa’s elves finds love during the holidays?

Reread as audiobook - good narration which fit the characters well.
Story - super sweet start to a new holiday series. These characters were absolutely adorable. Shae especially was so talented, making costumes and composing music. I really like that the characters who will star in the following books in the series are in the same elf group. A very no angst quick read.

A sweet and charming story (no angst), of best friends to lovers wrapped in a magical holiday vibes. Shea and Trace are childhood friends who never lost touch for a moment, even when Trace moved to another country. When Trace returns to their hometown, the relationship quickly develops into its next natural stage.

I'm a sucker for friends to lovers and I enjoyed this one. Very sweet and low angst, with a bit of spice and a dose of Christmas magic. The author also gets extra points for having both MCs on the twinky side, I don't see that enough, or at all, really. Definitely recommend as a sweet festive novella. Does a great job introducing the other characters in the series too.

This was a sweet story with a lot of longing and pining between the main characters before they were officially a couple. I loved their chemistry and the other elves were fun and hilarious.

This is a sweet best friends to lovers story set during the holiday season. The writing style is excellent, and I was quickly drawn into the story.
Trace and Shae were best friends until Trace moved away with his family. They stayed in touch for years until Trace decided to move back. He intends to be with Shae, and I loved how direct their communication was. The topic is addressed head-on, and there’s no beating around the bush. In fact, the communication between Trace and Shae is excellent.
During the holiday season, Shae has a job as an elf, and I found his interactions with his coworkers amusing and entertaining.
The love story developed beautifully, and Shae and Trace were such a sweet couple! And if you like holidays in books, you’ve come to the right place, because there was plenty of that here. I found the story entertaining, and the humor was great, too.

I liked the narrator, Avery Wilde; he did a great job. I could easily tell the two protagonists apart, and I thought his pronunciation was good. He also has a talent for portraying the younger children convincingly and appropriately.
