Hugely enjoyable and accessible foray into the science of ageing

I’d seen this had good reviews and they weren’t wrong! I thoroughly enjoyed this foray into the science of ageing. The author didn’t dumb down the science, rather he explained it in a way that made it accessible and interesting. And the narration was spot on. Highly recommended!

Great book flip my views. pronunciation was off

A really good book that I thoroughly enjoyed. It challenged my views and gave an excellent overview of a vast range of topics around ageing without being a self help book of how to live longer.

The tone of narration was good but the only thing let it down was the pronunciation of scientific words. it is evident that the narrator hadn't had a background in the sciences and I'm not sure that any of the production team had coached him.the stresses in the words were in the wrong place, phonetically spelt words were interpreted as not and annoyingly visa versa. A bit jarring for an excellent science book.

I would recommend, but check any pronunciation with someone in the field.

Excellent book with engaging narrator

I didn't have any specific expectations when buying this book, just decided to give it a try. Finished it in 2-3 days. It's packed with knowledge, written with humor and has a great narrator. I highly recommend it for everyone, no matter your profession or interests.

Faultless,

Fab, concise book, packed with so much information.

I read and listen to a lot health longevity nutrition and health, and this is up there in my top 5 books on this subject.

So often in this genre, authors become quite preachy about their beliefs or otherwise come out with some rather odd hypothetical theories and then try and back it up.

Mr Brendborg has written s book, which tells it as it is. He has found some really interesting research and there is plenty of food for thought from the wonderful discoveries in our plant and animal kingdom.
All dished up with a little humour here and there, which makes a welcome break when it it gets very scientific.

Highly recommend.
