Great audiobook
I’m hoping to visit a friend who lives in Japan next year (if the whole Covid thing is ok) and I would like to surprise her by talking a tiny bit of Japanese. I like that the book is divided into different sections, so I can skip around and only listen to the words I want to know. It’s an extremely difficult language, will have to listen many more times, but it’s a good start. Recommend this audiobook :)

Very engaging!
If you want to learn Japanese vocabulary, then this is your book. Very engaging, easy to learn, and I love how the flow of the entire book went. Must buy!

Immerse yourself in the Japanese culture.
Ever since I was knee-high to a grasshopper, I wanted to learn Japanese. The people and culture fascinated me. It wasn’t up until now that I’ve pursued my dream. This audiobook was the first step in the right direction with learning some basic vocabulary. There are tons of theme-related words to pick up in this guide. I found it to be a thorough collection of key words to learn in the beginning. Highly recommended listen for those wishing to immerse themselves in the Japanese culture.

Great for beginners
This audiobook was well structured and I liked that it covered grammar (such as adjectives) and different everyday situations. I liked that there was a chapter just on the Japanese sounds, as the language is so different to English. It was beneficial to hear each new word four times, as it helped you to really try to understand the sound and tone of each word.

Tokyo here I come
I've always wanted to go to Japan but I heard it's one of the hardest places to be if you don't speak the language, all the signs are in Japanese and a small percentage of English speakers, getting some key phrases I feel is important. I've always like the method of listening and repeating. When things open up, I'm going to Tokyo!

Useful and well organised
Excellent vocabulary book in Japanese
Performance is really good, and thhe pace and the number of repeat ideal.
I liked the bonus chapter about animes.

Good starter guide to basic Japanese vocab
Japanese is considered one of the world's most unique languages, because it has no direct derivative language that birthed it. Unlikely many other Asian languages, Japanese isn’t a tonal language. Plus, it is the ninth most commonly spoken language in the entire world. This book will help teach you the basic Japanese words and phrases for everyday use in various settings. I would recommend playing the audio 0.75x the speed for longer phrases to help with reciting.

Great Foundational Guide to Japanese
Great introduction to learning Japanese. Perfect to attune the ear to these new sounds and learn words along the way. Easy to listen to and with opportunities to repeat and practice new words. I listened to this on the flight over to Tokyo and by the time I’d arrived felt much more confident with the language. Great resource! Arigatōgozaimashita!

Perfect for improving Japanese vocabulary
I love learning new languages and Japanese can be a challenging one. I was so excited about how simple they made it for you to learn and practice new words. The speaker goes at a great pace, and there is such a wide range of words to learn.

Excellent Starting Point
I enjoyed listening to this audiobook, which I think is an ideal starting point for the beginner. The narration is excellent; I liked how the words and phrases were spoken three times at a slower speed and then at a normal speed. Two points I found especially interesting; firstly, how short and easy some of the words are to say. Secondly, in the last chapter, the number of English words covered by just one Japanese word. Personally, I did struggle with some of the longer phrases. I felt I needed something in writing as well as the audio. That's a minor point, however. A great job all around!
