About this listen

“It is useless to meet revenge with revenge; it will heal nothing.”

“And then her heart changed, or at least she understood it, and the winter passed, and the sun shone upon her.”

“All's well that ends better.”

“His grief he will not forget, but it will not darken his heart, it will teach him wisdom.” J. R. R. Tolkien

Interviews with a literary legend!

John Ronald Reuel Tolkien, CBE, FRSL, was an English writer and philologist. He was the author of the high fantasy works The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. From 1925 to 1945, Tolkien was the Rawlinson and Bosworth Professor of Anglo-Saxon and a Fellow of Pembroke College, both at the University of Oxford.

The Lord of the Rings is a series of three epic fantasy adventure films directed by Peter Jackson, based on the novel The Lord of the Rings by J. R. R. Tolkien.

In this rare one-of-a-kind audiobook adventure, the listener is met with the unexpected nature of a grand literary trek. Here is an audio treat to startle the imagination, invigorate the mind, and touch the spirit of all who hear it. From the studios of veteran artists and producers who were amongst the very first to imagine that books might one day talk—first on tape and later in the digital realm. This audiobook is our gift to you—a group of collective artists who have made their production a life's work and joy. A true audio treasure humbly presented with affection!
