About this listen

The Church is a great organisation, but it is achieving little today.

Therefore, any burdened that the Church is achieving little need to study the character of Isaac and learn from him. This book seeks to recount the life of Isaac, and look for deeper meaning related to us in the 21st century, but I must confess, I found this a difficult book to write, and I hope this does not detract from the content.

This series would make a great gift for people who want to learn more about Biblical character. Once again, the author didn't fail to deliver his insights into the life of one of the most well known Biblical character Isaac. Great narration and connection of the stories to life lesson.

I got this audiobook series for my mum and she is really enjoying all of the books so far (she has listened to three so far). The narration was engaging and mum learnt new things about Isaac that she didn't know before.

I have read and heard the story of Isaac and his family before but never quite like this. I liked how the author drew comparison between Isaac's life and the Church. The bitterness between the family members and the lengths they went to get what they wanted. How Isaac loved his Creator and was ready to sacrifice his son in His name.

Great story for children and adults to learn from.

I had forgotten so much of the story of Isaac yet there is so much that is relevant today. This book tells the history and teaching around Isaac well, and with a lot of detail. I appreciate the understanding of where views and beliefs originate and this made it easy to listen to and to see the basis of many views today - I appreciate too, that the writer adds his thoughts yet doesn’t tell the listener what to think. This is a very accessible book to get to grips with all the background and the chronology was incredibly helpful.

Very good overview of the Issac story
