About this listen

Discover how to control your thoughts, anxiety, and obsessions so they don’t control you and your relationships.

You have been with your partner for quite some time, but your relationship is still peppered with incessant, nerve-wracking worries.

What you need to grasp is that your anxiety and obsessive thoughts are not a reflection of your relationship or your partner, but rather a result of your own internal struggles.

The good news is, there is one method—backed by research studies and recommended by experts–to help deal with a range of problems including relationship problems and anxiety. It’s called cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), a form of psychological treatment that effectively and significantly improves functioning and quality of life.

You don’t have to be intimidated by CBT—this book offers a comprehensive yet easy-to-understand guide so you can navigate around this method and overcome your struggles with practical and proven exercises.

Here is just a small fraction of what you will discover in this book:

  • Expert guidance from CBT professionals with years of experience
  • Effective coping strategies for your anxieties and worries
  • Insightful case studies and real-life examples of people who have faced and overcome relationship OCD
  • Eight powerful tips for overcoming intrusive thoughts, plus a Q&A session that answers all your queries about intrusive thoughts
  • Research-based CBT methods to help you fight daily obsessions and compulsions
  • Exposure therapy-based activities that can help you deal with your nagging thoughts and doubts
  • How to deal with setbacks and relapses in your ROCD recovery, along with an awesome goal tracker to help you track your progress
  • The C.O.N.N.E.C.T. method: find out how you can use it to communicate your mental health needs to your partner and strengthen your bond
  • And much more!

Remember, overcoming relationship OCD is a journey that takes time and effort. But with the tools and insights provided in this book, you can make real progress toward reclaiming your life and relationships.

Take the first step toward a loving, peaceful, and healthy relationship.

Relationships are hard and sometimes even impossible to navigate with certain personalities or tendencies. The author takes on this difficulty by helping the listener to understand how to navigate through potential pitfalls in relationships when people may or may not be particularly concerned about issues. Learning to manage the ins and outs of relationships with people who are particularly vulnerable is extremely impotent and this was a great mindset management tool.

I have read a number of books on the topic of CBT to support fear, anxiety, and unwanted thoughts. This is the first I have listened to on supporting relationships. Communication in a relationship, especially a romantic one, can be very complex if you are dealing with someone who has experienced trauma. The author does a great job breaking down the ways CBT can help you overcome the relationship OCD tendencies. I especially appreciate the discussion on the CONNECT Method to help you communicate your mental health needs to your partner. This audiobook is a valuable resource for anyone wanting to overcome relationship anxieties.

As I was listening to this audible, I couldn't help but think how this topic is so needed in our time. Some of the topics brought up are thoughts that have been in any of our heads but we are always too scared to address them. Bringing these thoughts out in the open is important, but it feels scary! This audible addresses those thoughts and insecurities that people have in their relationships and helps them to work through them and move past them. I think this audible is awesome and would be a great discussion for a mom with teens who are just starting their relationship journey. I highly recommend this audible if you want tools to move past those thoughts in your head that aren't serving you, and moving to a healthy space in your own life and therefore, your relationship!

Great Topic and a great Audible!
