This book was made up of a series of disjointed jigsaw pieces of story mini-segments. It’s ever so strange. I think if this author worked with a good editor they could be exceptional. Instead the author seemed to imagine up a scene and write it down, then the next time they had a bit of time they wrote another scene. Then simply plonked them one after another. Made it really difficult to feel engaged and interested in the book, and I was happy when it was over.
