About this listen

Magnetic as the Sun

Jimmy Alsop, a vivacious journalist, longs to trade his sheltered life for a summer of adventure but lacks the confidence to launch his stellar plan.

Lonely as the Moon

Nova Skye, an aloof scientist, wants to resuscitate his dead love life but hasn't found the right man to kickstart his guarded heart.

Eclipse of the Heart

Sparks fly when a chance encounter drops Jimmy and Nova into the same orbit. Though their approach to life and love couldn't be more different, they're inexplicably drawn together as if connected by an invisible string. With nothing to lose but their inhibitions, Jimmy and Nova embark on an epic adventure of discovery. Passions soar with the sultry Savannah temperatures, and soon, their carefree summer becomes something more profound and beautiful than either man bargained for. But are the ties that bind sturdy enough to withstand a lifetime, or will they fray after a season?

Contains mature themes.

Loved it so much that I couldn't stop listening to it until it ended.

Beautiful story. Very well read.

The narrator has a beautiful voice and he can make different voices however there were some issues, the main characters' voices were shifting constantly, Tristan James can show emotions in the scenes with family or friends, that told me that it's not lack of technique, but when there's a intime moment, and I'm not talking only the sex scenes, he's holding back, when the character whisper, the narrator should whisper, for example, the more personal, emotional, vulnerable scenes were so mechanical that can jeopardise the book.
So many moments the he gave the wrong emotion, wrong pauses and even confuse dialogue that it cross my mind that maybe some AI did the work for him, something is holding him back.
I believe if he doesn't feel comfortable with those moments, maybe he should direct his skills to other genre, if he chose to narrate a MM Romance, with or without steamy scenes, he should commit to the performance.

The story was so adorable, light and cute, the perfect book to relax, I enjoyed all the characters, I had a good laugh at some moments, the story flowed like a calm river for the most part, I had a nice time!!! Kudos to Aimee Nicole Walker!

I liked the book. It was very romantic. Who doesn't like romance? Some people love doing romantic things while others might prefer feelings without romance. I thought the romantic aspects were really nice. I didn't notice anything of an extreme. Narration was good. It took a little time to get used to Tristan James' voice but I was fine with it. Overall, I enjoyed the book.

Enjoyable book

I know that this was a romance book, but there's a line i don't care for in some romance books, where the stories pass into saccharin, cheesy territory. I enjoyed the first half of the story, but then it started veering into over sentimental waters and was too much for me. I generally love Tristan James narration, however, at times it felt like he sounded too Hallmark and schmaltzy. I didn't enjoy the book as much as I hoped.

Over sentimental
