It was interesting to hear about all the stuff the author did - lots of travelling and polticial/activist work. I watched the documentary *Every Body* first, which she was in, and then went looking for intersex books.

I bought this after hearing Alicia on JVN’s podcast where she’d opened my eyes to intersex identities which I was sorely ignorant of. I’ll be telling everyone to read this!

At a time when the LGBTQIA+ community is under attack and the “I” in particular is being erased from the conversation, this book is absolutely vital and should be read/listened to by everyone. The intersex community needs to be heard with their own voices and Alicia brings her story to life with honesty, emotion and humour.
