A believable account of the takeover of western civilisation, the rise of defiance in spite of the odds. although I wanted to see where the rest of the world was I enjoyed the focus Basil put to his localised resistance. Incorporating Icehammer and book 2 invasion, I felt I was part of the action. With Basil being the author and narrator, I felt lead to a more rounded narration, let’s face it who better to tell the story than the story writer.
