Summary

What would you do to protect your family?

Keith Klein, a beat cop in the small New Mexico town of Montaño, sets out to find his missing daughters after they vanish on their way home from school. He enlists the help of Gerald Greenwood, an old friend and a private investigator. When their investigation stalls and desperation creeps in, Keith’s methods become unorthodox, illegal, and extremely violent.

Meanwhile, Keith’s daughters, 14-year-old Carrie and eight-year-old Allison, witness horrors beyond imagination at the Wolves’ Den, a house in the middle of nowhere. In that house, a group of psychopaths in animal masks produce snuff films and other disturbing content for clients across the globe.

Jon Athan, the provocative author behind Dr. Sadist and Lovesick, delivers another dark and disturbing horror novel filled with mystery, suspense, and gore. Can you handle a visit to the Wolves’ Den?

Absolutely brutal and highly recommended

I received this audiobook alongside some others in exchange for honest reviews, and even as a fairly experienced reader of extreme horror, Into The Wolves’ Den is genuinely one of the most hard-hitting stories I’ve ever read or listened to. The characters and scenarios are memorable and rooted in realism, but are pushed to unexpectedly violent extremes. I’ve read several books by Jon Athan but this is the one that has made me a fan.

Sequel Pleeeease

I don't know where to start........Okay, I came upon this author by chance, and I'm so very glad I did.
The book grabbed you from the very first page, and took you along at breakneck speed, all the way to the very end. You just knew from the very first act of violence in the woods, these men had no souls or consciences what so ever. Just when you think, things can't get any worse, they do.....In the shape of a masochist, narcissist, sociopath called Riley Watts.
Riley Watts, is your worst nightmare, whether you be man, woman or child.
Just when you think he's done his worst, he does something that has you squeezing your eyes tight shut, because the description of his actions, are so vivid, it's like you are there.
Keith, the girls father, goes above and beyond in every effort to find his daughters, and their friend, but what he finds changes him, and the whole family forever.
The narrator, Mr Harry Roger Williams, really brought the story and the characters to life.
Jon Athan, please never stop writing your books, the way you do. I have thoroughly enjoyed this one, and as soon as I have finished this review, I am going to find another one.
I really do hope you write a sequel, perhaps Keith could become a vigilante, meting out justice, on behalf of those who can't.

A Tale of Revenge

This book focuses more on torture and revenge for the information he needs to find his kidnapped daughters. There isn't much more to say other than it reminded me of the movie Taken with Liam Neeson. The torture scenes were gruesome and very detailed but I personally don't think they were any worse than watching something like the movie Hostel. I think they may have shocked some listeners because they were described in so much detail but when you're listening rather than seeing they have to be described in detail in order for you to get the full effect of what this father is willing to do in order to get his girls back. If you liked the movies Taken or Hostel then you'll like this book. The narration was not the best, it sounded robotic but if you can get past that the book was good.

I was provided a free copy of this book at my request for my honest and unbiased review.
