Summary

When Tom Faraday joined internationally renowned CERUS Biotech, he thought he'd landed his dream job. A chance to work with their famous CEO, William Bern, perhaps to change the world.

But Tom has found himself in an organization in crisis. The company bet the house on a radical neural interface project, only to be blocked by a government with reasons of its own. Now CERUS is running on vapor and the corporate vultures are gathering. Bern isn't one to go down without a fight. He's turned things around before, and he has a plan to do it again.

The problem is, 25 years ago CERUS made a similar mistake. And if history is repeating itself, Tom might be the only one who can stop it.

Gripping plot with great narration

You can't put this audiobook down. Complex plot with several twists and turns with well-developed characters. The narration by Daniel Philpott is superb!

Exciting and detailed novel...

I have been an audible user for tens years and average two books a month, this is my first review....
I started by receiving a copy of the written version of this book and whilst I didn't want to put it down - I took it on a short sea voyage intending to finish it in one go, uninterrupted. Having spoken enthusiastically to my father in law about the plot, content and indeed the author I gave in to his pleading and gave him my copy as the audible version had just been released. What a great move - for me the audible version brought the characters more to life than before.
With some obvious technical knowledge the story takes the listener on a journey through a frightening insight into what the future of medical research could hold and all the implications and twists that authorities will pursue to get that power and hide their dirty secrets along the way.
Excellent choice of author and a recommended download
