Story
Bish is the land of constant strife and turmoil. The rise and fall of the blazing suns make the days long and the people disagreeable. Its barren Outlands are as comforting as a bed of thorns as there is little sanctuary to be found in the sweltering forests or the dank caves below the ground. Its caviling cities are overrun with death, greed, and corruption, but few complain. It is a place where tempers flare and alliances last as long as a tankard of ale. A place where good doesn't thrive, it endures.

Ruined by the narration
- By J. Ramage on 19-04-19
Summary
Peter Stewart grew up on a unique version of the Arthurian legends taught him by his father, a harebrained quantum physicist who asserts that anything is possible. But Peter disbelieves anything which cannot be scientifically explained, despite a nagging sense that there is more to the world than meets the eye.
Lily Portman is an orphan with a secret: she can see creatures that are invisible to everyone else. These creatures control every human being she has ever met to varying degrees...until she meets Peter and his father.
When a mysterious stranger stages an accident which nearly costs Peter and Lily their lives, suddenly Lily learns that she is not crazy after all, and Peter discovers the truth of his father’s stories...including the existence of Arthur’s ancient nemesis, one who calls himself the Shadow Lord, and a prophecy with implications so profound that it will alter not only the course of their lives, but potentially the fate of the world.

For fans of the King Arthur legends
For fans of the King Arthur legends and every story that involves amazing adventures like this. The story was well written. I found it extremely enjoyable. I've always enjoined stories like this, but nothing like this. I definitely thought of Sheldon (both from Young and Big Bang) due to Peter's, the main character, love for science and physics. The theories were very interesting and more so when Lily is introduced.
I must be honest, while I enjoyed the story, I did feel a bit thrown off by the narrative. Rebecca McKernan is great, but I felt that there wasn't much emotion going into the story for a bit. It just felt a bit electronic . . . robotic? But I did not let that stop me from hearing until the end. And I'm glad I did, because I really want to know what happens next!

Really cool take on Arthurian Legend
This book is fast paced, mind whirling, and really fun to listen to. Seriously if you love Arthurian legend you’re going to eat this up. The narration could use work... her different voices aren’t the best and it’s hard to tell who’s speaking if they don’t have different accents.
Parents this is a wickedly clean read for Young Adults, just read this if you’re on the fence; you might get caught up before your kids do!

Super Cool for teens, young & old adults, too!
Awesome Dawson! I adore the struggles of Peter, Lillian, Cole and Brook! Such typical teenage behavior at the start that morphs into maturity and struggles in the end. Great Jon, C.A. Gray!! I really would like to see how their stories turn out in the future!
Rebecca Mckernan did an exemplary job with vocals. She moved the storyline along without the boring narratives you often find.

Interesting Story
I read The Liberty Box a while back, and while I had high hopes, I wasn't a big fan of the writing style. I'm glad to say I enjoyed this one more, but still don't think this series will be a favorites of mine. I did enjoy the characters and premise, but didn't have anything really grab my attention to make it special.

Amazing world building
I have listened to C.A. Gray’s books and probably this will be a month full of reviews for those. She brings us this time another fabulous story, with a fabulous world and great characters! I am used by now with her amazing writing and to her way of sending us exploring, to her way of capturing our attention and … blowing our minds! Oh, and the covers! All her books have such beautiful covers!
Ok, back to “Intangible”. The author takes a legend and turns it into so much! One normal girl, who can see things beyond our world (yup, normal alight) discovers things she shouldn’t. She had no way of knowing she was already one step in, because she was already different. And with Peter at her side, there are promises for so much more.
We have great characters and a great base for our plot. But what I mostly liked was the world and all that comes with it. I mean, this book is not a short one. It has 12 hours almost. But I didn’t know when the time went by. I was so captivated and I wanted to know what happened next. And I cannot wait to follow with the next books in the series.
The narration was quite ok. It was a clear narration, although I must admit I would have liked a little more voice acting and a little more depth to our characters, especially because Lily is one strong girl. But other than that, I have no complains 🙂
All in all, I cannot wait to see what happens next and I cannot wait to spend more time in this amazing world! Congratulations to the author for yet another great book!
