Story
I love stories. I have mostly told other people's, but now, in telling my own, I realise how all our stories are connected by that great leveller of acclaim, loss, fortitude and fortune: being human. When I look at my life from the alleged halfway point, some patterns are revealed: one, that the story does not necessarily begin or end where it should; two, happy endings are overrated. And three, happy endings are almost never the end. This book is memoir-ish. A tell-most. Largely because there's a lot I don't remember, and a lot that's not worth talking about.

This is my story, from a crumbling apartment in Central Falls, Rhode Island, to the stage in New York City, and beyond. This is the path I took to finding my purpose and my strength, but also to finding my voice in a world that didn't always see me. As I wrote Finding Me, my eyes were open to the truth of how our stories are often not given close examination. They are bogarted, reinvented to fit into a crazy, competitive, judgmental world. So I wrote this for anyone who is searching for a way to understand and overcome a complicated past, let go of shame and find acceptance.

Summary
For decades, Demi Moore has been synonymous with celebrity. From iconic film roles to high-profile relationships, Moore has never been far from the spotlight - or the headlines.
Even as Demi was becoming the highest paid actress in Hollywood, however, she was always outrunning her past, just one step ahead of the doubts and insecurities that defined her childhood.
Throughout her rise to fame and during some of the most pivotal moments of her life, Demi battled addiction, body image issues, and childhood trauma that would follow her for years - all while juggling a skyrocketing career and at times negative public perception.
As her success grew, Demi found herself questioning if she belonged in Hollywood, if she was a good mother, a good actress - and, always, if she was simply good enough.
As much as her story is about adversity, it is also about tremendous resilience. In this deeply candid and reflective memoir, Demi pulls back the curtain and opens up about her career and personal life - laying bare her tumultuous relationship with her mother, her marriages, her struggles balancing stardom with raising a family, and her journey toward openheartedness.
Inside Out is a story of survival, success, and surrender - a wrenchingly honest portrayal of one woman’s at once ordinary and iconic life.

Amazing - would hugely recommend!
I loved this audio book and Demi narrating. Within a few minutes of listening I knew it was going to be brilliant and it really is. Demi is someone I grew up knowing who she was, loved ghost and one of those people you think you know- this book is such an interesting listen to who Demi is and why. Often in biographies I find the childhood bit less interesting but each section of this is so deep and fascinating. She’s done brilliantly to get her story down, so personal to her but opened up to us. She’s one of a kind, I’ve seen her in a different light and before I wasn’t fussed about her and now love her! Amazing story.

Demi's memoir - as strong & stunning as she is
An absolutely beautiful memoir of Demi's life. It's hard to imagine that a woman of such stature, beauty, talent and grace has the harrowing, heart wrenching story that she does. Demi shares the pain and vulnerability of her life so honestly and so openly. Never playing the victim but rather owning every decision.
Most wouldn't have the guts to look so deep and get so honest, with themselves and for the whole world to share. But she does. And she does it so beautifully!
