Story
Before the now-infamous Count Dracula ever tasted his first drop of blood, Sorin Ambrogio owned the night. Humanity fearfully called him the Devil. Cursed by the gods, Sorin spent centuries bathing Europe in oceans of blood with his best friends, Lucian and Nero, the world’s first Werewolf and Warlock - an unholy trinity if there ever was one. Until the three monsters grew weary of the carnage, choosing to leave it all behind and visit the brave New World across the ocean. As they befriended a Native American tribe, they quickly forgot that monsters can never escape their past.

Fabulous fantasy adventure
- By Gillian M on 03-10-19
Summary
“This is a fast-moving, high action story with insights into real world problems, the first of what promises to be a compelling series.” (New York Times best-selling fantasy author Piers Anthony)
Gaining their ink was just the first step. Now they have to earn it.
Christian Blake, an unruly English teenager, finds himself in a mysterious tattoo parlor in Connaught Square where he is possessed by a rune god called Hagalaz. Now immortal, Christian is gifted with superpowers that allow him to harness the forces of nature.
Only problem? Hagalaz is the god of disruption, and he is intent on making Christian's life a living hell.
Christian’s mentor, Raven, takes him on a wild adventure across the world to join his Tribe, a group of four unlikely teenagers with their own newly-gifted magical powers. They must take on the forces of evil brewing across the globe - The Settlers, a mysterious group who have slowly integrated themselves into positions of power worldwide.
They have a dark secret, and it is the Tribe's mission to discover what that is and put a stop to it. But nothing is what it seems, for it will take much more than the powers of a few long-forgotten gods to put an end to the impending global disaster that threatens to destroy everything and anyone in its path.
"A thrilling ride, with twists and turns that even the most experienced reader will never forget!" (Dustin Bilyk, author of The Tournament of Hearts)

AMAZING!!
One of the, dare i say it, best books I have ever read (well listened to). It made me; laugh, cry, scream and so many more. The story it’s is very well put together and it had a lot of twists and turns. The person telling the story( I’m sorry I don’t know his name) is also very good and brings the story to life. Overall, I really enjoyed the book and I’m sure you will too!! I highly recommend.

Great writing
I personally like to get into the characters that are in a book and the author has taken the time to craft the characters. We get lots of details, we explore their personalities, and see their background stories. And I'm not just talking about the main characters, but the secondaries as well. Christian is a great character and the one that draws us into this work. I liked the premise of the book where ancient deities choose humans to become. The plot is interesting and really kept me engaged. I also really like the narration which fit well with the story. Eagerly awaiting book 2!
Thoroughly enjoyable adventure. Think Twilight (swap Vamps for ALFs) meets Percy Jackson. Really well written and narrated. I can’t really find fault with the story except I usually err towards the grittier and darker and can’t fault the narration either except maybe Jake’s foreign accents could use a slight polish. Other than that, raring to go on book 2; can’t wait to see where it picks up from the cliffhanger! This is my unbiased honest opinion of a free review copy.

Definitely not a bad book
This was an okay book and if you like fantasy based around myths you may well enjoy it more than I did. Don't get me wrong I thought it was a good book just felt as though it drug out through some spots and had a bit of a lackluster feel to me. The narrator though was fantastic and I can't wait to listen to more books with him. Now just to clarify this IS a good book just not my cup of tea. A clever and twisting new take on myth
This was a fun little romp through several strains of myth, and a new take on a number of mythic concepts. When Christian walks into a mysterious tattoo parlor, his entire life changes. Now he's a demigod with a spirit of chaos in his body, and he has to help save the world. I enjoyed the story quite a lot. I did feel that the plot had some disjointed elements and depended a bit too much on reveal moments, but the ideas were interesting enough to pull it all together. The characters are a bit naive, but very sweet and relatable. A fun little Young Avengers meets Gaiman's Norse Myths story, perfect for younger listeners.

I started out really enjoying the book and liked where the story was headed. It is tame in comparison to the books I normally read, but it was a nice change of pace. That said, about three-quarters of the way through the book it took a turn for me when the plot solidified and the real reason for the events started solidifying themselves. That is where the story lost me and I could not regain proper interest. The characters were good and the narration was really good. I thought Jake Thornton crushed it as he performed the different accents and dialects. This story was given to me for free at my request for my voluntary and unbiased review.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. This was a very fast paced ride from the start. A young adult novel, but I enjoyed it very much. The narrator is very pleasant to listen to. The story evolves very quickly and you get caught in the story very quick. The only thing I did not like was ending. Now i must continue with the next book! what happens next?! Very enjoyable.

Great characters and interesting powers.
Good book that did really well with characters and their relationships with each other. They grew closer and you liked them. Narrator had some issues for me personally as I could not tell who was talking at times. Story was interesting but felt there was not substantial reasoning given for some of the events in the book playing out like they did. Still, looking forward to seeing book 2.
