About this listen

This novel tells the story of impoverished, embarrassment-prone Archibald "Archie" Moffam and his difficult relationship with his art-collecting, hotel-owning, millionaire father-in-law, Daniel Brewster, the father of Archie's new bride, Lucille. Archie's attempts to ingratiate himself with Brewster only get him further into trouble. The story takes place in New York City.

This bird David Ian Davies is a dashed bright reader! A parfait rendering of a perfect Wodehouse book. And a train wreck production! The reader should reserve the voices of the main characters, and not spread them around, as it only causes confusion.

BEST WODEHOUSE READER EVER!!!!!

This is appalling on every level. It is chock-full of unedited retakes, random repetitions and stumbles. This makes it hard to listen to, but what can be heard is a dreadful rendition of the book by someone for whom English, despite an upper-crust Brit accent, appears to be a fourth or fifth language. Wodehouse is a beautiful writer, whose sentences are well-formed and easy to read. This man manages to mangle the phrasing to make them almost incomprehensible. I have generally found Audible's standards high and am astonished that you should charge money for this abortion.

A disgrace of an audiobook

A shame as as stories are amusing as always but narration decidedly lacking and at times becomes annoying

Struggled to finish this one.
