Brilliant book in a brilliant series from a brilliant author….. I love everything that Kendra Elliot writes and totally love all her characters, but my personal favourites have to be Truman and Mercy and their ‘acquired’ family so this book was just perfect!! I also like Teri Schnaubelt’s wide ranging narration - onto the next…….

A roller coaster of emotion shooting you to amazing highs before dropping you into haunting lows, whipping you round unseen corners and twisting your emotions leaving you wrecked.
It is awesome to catch up with Mercy, Truman, Evan, Kaylie and Olllie and even better to meet Charlotte and Theodore...but these kids kill me. They are all so brave, so strong and so beyond their years, it breaks your heart as much as it makes you proud of them. Evan finally gets his family....but at what cost? A haunting but ultimately beautiful book which I read a few years ago on Kindle Unlimited, I listened this time on Audible with Kindle Unlimited.

It feels like a happy ending is an impossibility!
