Summary

How women can improve their productivity, happiness, and physical well-being by keeping their natural cycles in mind and working with them (rather than ignoring them).

In the FLO teaches women how to use their 28-day cycle to optimise their life by letting their internal clock and natural rhythms guide time management, diet, fitness, etc. (This is so simple and yet under-utilised it is shocking. It makes perfect sense when you think about it: You have different energy levels at different times of the month, different libido levels, etc., so why not use foresight to plan projects for when you are at your most effective and understand when you need more emotional connection with others?)

There are specific tips on what to eat and how to exercise depending on what phase you are in - and it works. Women are getting promotions, losing weight, and, in one case thus far, literally clearing their endometriosis by using the cycle syncing method.

A 9 hour long sales pitch for wellness junk

The concept is interesting and certainly would be useful for some women but the book really drags because of the constant push to spend more money buying the app or wellness programmes online ( some of which cost several hundred dollars). There are better books with more helpful information and less self-promotion. I don’t think I’ll be recommending this to anyone.

As a male I find it pretty interesting!

I'm going to give it 5 stars since I'm male and I assume it's written to affect female audience more than male. But I think it would be a good idea to make some shorter version for male audience since there are some details males are just not as interested in as females.

Non the less it was really interesting, since I allready had some ideas about this stuff on my own, by being in relationship and taking some time to "analize" partner's behavior and mood changes.

Can't wait to see more news about this domain of research and I hope to see changes in the working environment!

Absolutely loved it !

This book was helping me a lot with fixing my PMS pains, which by the way disappeared after making only minor changes recommended in the book. But also, it gave me insight into how amazing the female body is. This book makes women feel proud of themselves, their body, instrad of ashamed. The text has feminist undertones which I love, and Alisa Vitti is great at narrating her book. The accompanying PDF is great because otherwise you couldn't remember all the info.

Would have preferred the science without feminism

I love the concept of this and apply it to myself with great results. The science facts are much more interesting to me than the feminist opinions that are threaded throughout the whole book...but if you can wade through that there are some great gems.

A bit repetitive.

Some of the tips are very helpful and provide an insight into neglected aspects of female health. However, there is not much substance in the sense that the author constantly repeats the same sentences - usually in succession of each other. The wording is changed slightly but has the same semantic quality as the one before. I found that annoying as it needlessly hammered an already clear point.

Great insight into the female world

Very informative book, have already recommended. Downside is the repetition. However, definitely worth a read.

A revalation of a new way of living!

I really enjoyed this audiobook as it opened my eyes to a second biological clock for women and the cyclical nature of our lives. This is definitely an ode to the magic of being a woman. I intend to adopt the eating recommendations and suggestions on how to approach tasks according to our cycles too. I already recommended this book to a couple of women. Thank you!
