I’m devastated it’s over for Rome, Kentucky! But the story of James and Maddie was an amazing ending for the series.

Without spoilers it avoids, in my opinion, the obvious 3rd arch "breakup" which I hate. It felt very accurate to a love story between very close friends.

It’s an incredibly cute story, and I simply adore Chase Brown’s voice. I could honestly listen to it day and night without getting tired of it. The only “downside” of the audiobook was that the spicy scenes weren’t narrated from the male point of view - though to be fair, the female narrator did a fantastic job as well.

I can’t believe this is the end! I need to know more. Maybe a spin off in another city could do the trick? Close up some more stories for us? Maybe Will‘s brother?

Maddie's story was the perfect way to end the Rome series, and my favorite one. It's everything I could have hoped for, and more. Only complaint is that there isn't 10 more in the series...
