Wow, it has been a few hours since I finished this book and my head is still spinning from this masterpiece of a story. Amo Jones has a brilliant mind, a dark and twisted one, but still brilliant, her world building and character development is phenomenal in this book, heck in the entire series. The complexity and depth to these characters is absolutely amazing, each one just as broken as the other, just as deviant too, it is their lifestyle and all they know and you know what, it works for them, well Amo Jones makes it work for them and she makes you drawn to them like a moth to a flame. This third book of the “Midnight Mayhem” series picks up soon after the second book ended and is Lilith Patience’s story, who they brought into the Midnight Mayhem to fill a role, she comes from the enemy family and the Kiznitch’s killed her father. They knew little of her upbringing, but we learn what she endured in reflections of her past throughout the book and the things she went through were horrific, but instead of them breaking her, she just grew stronger. They also messed with her brain and memory, a trickery they are great at. Lilith made a friend in Mayhem, Saskia, she also developed a relationship with a Kiznitch, Kyrin, and Eli, one of the “Elite Kings” shared a bond with both for a smoking hot trifecta. Kyrin did not trust her one bit, but that did not keep him out of her bed or she his. Eli also has his own agenda, which is revealed in the end and oh my, what an ending it is. This cleverly plotted story is captivating from start to end, there is plenty of drama, angst, twists and turns, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. Amo Jones, thank you for another amazing story and wild ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the amazing narration, Amo Jones cast the perfect narrators to bring her characters and story to life. Ramona Master, Xander Marceaux and Lance West are wonderfully talented narrators and their killer performance enhanced this already brilliant story to another level. They had a complete understanding of the characters they were portraying, gave each a voice that was the perfect fit of that character’s persona, and were believable in every role they played. Ramona Master aced it as Lilith, grasping every side of her personality, her snark, sharpness and bad@$$ery, she was just as amazing performing the other roles too, accents and all. Xander Marceaux nailed it as Kyrin, with a hot-headed alpha-tude in a very Kiznitch way, and Lance West’s Eli was perfection, as the Elite King that he was. These entertaining storytellers are versatile voice artists and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for exceptional listen.

This book was madness but in amazing way, the twists was never ending and the feeling where overwhelming to say the least. This book broke my heart so many times and now after a have to figure out how to wait for the next book. Can’t wait!

I wish I could tell you how much of an "Amo Jones" book this is because if you know, you know. I was on the edge of my seat for most of this book and to see the EKC & MM worlds collide was something I didn't know I needed.

This book was a mind… trip. It was pretty darn close to perfect and if it weren’t for that moment in time that had literal tears falling it would have been perfection. The fact that I don’t fully understand what’s going on is also the reason I can’t be 100% satisfied with it. But this story took so many twists and unexpected turns and had me on edge and flying through the hours of audio easily. The narration was awesome as well. All three narrators were well suited for the characters and pulled this whole thing to another level of enjoyment. I hope to get the final answers that were left open in this book, but if nothing else this is a case where I will be happily continuing this series.
