There was a strong warning but I chose to listen on as I thought it couldn’t be so bad, I was very wrong. Listened on because I wanted to find out what happened.. Marked as a 3 which I think is fair because this is the authors style however, and if you’re into this sadistic evil thing, then it might be great for you. Had I known this was the type of content he did, I wouldn’t have listened.. not my thing at all.. Now I like my thrillers/horrors etc, but this is one author who I really wonder about, what makes them come up with such a sick story involving a child?! Thankfully, I won’t be listening to any other titles..

there is a warning at the start of this book about graphic content and listener discretion advised, how bad can it be I thought, ohhh boy, but it's brilliant, the story is a descent into madness, the violence is very graphic and very gruesome and I will never look at a pizza cutter the same again but if you have the stomach for it it's definitely worth listening to!

short and brutal

Deliciously detailed in it's violence, this short story had me pondering "what kind of sick mind comes up with this?"
The juxtaposition between chapters, as the story alternates between the parents and the babysitter, is exquisite, as if the author is offering respite before the next round of revulsion.
This is a truly gruesome tale that challenges you to continue listening, with writing reminiscent of Clive Barker, the author delivers some of the most stomach churning descriptions I've ever had the displeasure of imagining. Simply fantastic.
