Everything can change – In Just One Day

Flora has always adored her brother Billy. Born just eighteen months apart, their childhood was spent like two peas in a pod – no one could separate them. Now, as adults, they remain the best of friends. And as Flora is immersed in family life, Billy is always there to lend a hand.

But, in just one day, everything changes.

In just one day, Flora’s life falls apart.

In just one day, Flora has to learn how to live again.

From the nostalgia of seaside Britain to the breath-taking beauty of Venice, in tears and laughter, join Helen McGinn for this emotional, uplifting and joyful story about love in all its guises. But above all, this is an unforgettable story of one little girl and the brother she adored.

Helen McGinn has written a novel to recommend to all your friends, perfect for fans of Elizabeth Noble, Cathy Kelly and JoJo Moyes.

Not much depth to the book, particularly in dealing with the difficult circumstances the various people found themselves in.

I love Helen from all her wine writing and reviews. She comes across really personable and friendly on telly so thought I’d give one of her books a go.

I enjoyed this book so much. It was a lovely, believable and gripping story. Lots of twists and turns and didn’t know where this would end up.

Loved all the wine mentions. And all the descriptions of wine tasting and how people enjoy different wines.

But most of all. Helen writes about grief and loss in the most beautiful and heart wrenching way. She must have experienced deep loss to understand it in this way. And for that, it had a deeper and more profound meaning.

Thank you for a lovely book. Will look out for your next book.

One of my favourites. It was worth reading/listening to. So many moments and situations are recognisable, sometimes making me goosebumps.

Reality based so recognizable

Lightweight and predictable. Would be a best seller if author wasn’t in a tv cook show. Hangover by proxy. Reader not noteworthy

Like a bad Prosecco - all fizz and promise but no depth
