A deadly archer, a missing woman, and a tainted Detective.

Detective Rob Loxley has had to fight for everything in his career.

The shadows of his past lead many to view him with suspicion. He’s isolated and ostracised, despite his dedication to the job.

In Sherwood Forest, a sadistic archer plays a deadly game. Victims are kidnapped, stripped, and become living targets for a relentless hunter. It’s a cruel game of cat and mouse with fatal consequences.

Assigned the case, Rob discovers a second missing person, and the clock starts ticking. With a relentless anti-corruption officer seeking to undermine him, Rob must work with his feisty new partner, Scarlett, to unravel the twisted clues before another life is lost.

In a race against time, Rob must prove his worth and hunt down the killer…

…no matter where his investigation takes him.

In Bad Faith is a gripping and twisty British crime thriller, perfect for fans of TG Reid, Jack Gatland and Ian Rankin.©2022 A. L. Fraine (P)2024 W.F.Howes Ltd Crime Thrillers Mystery Police Procedural Thriller & Suspense Disappearance Fiction Crime Detective Game

Almost authentic Nottingham accents, notoriously difficult to do.. shame Basford was pounced Bass-ford rather than more correctly Base-ford.
An excellent plot with interesting characters.

I love Police Procedurals anyway, but I was drawn to this series, because I live in Nottinghamshire. The narrator did a good job with our local accents, and it was interesting to listen to a book set in my local area.
The writer does a good job of laying breadcrumbs, so although you suspect who the killer is, there are other potential killers too. As the suspects are steadily eliminated, you begin to root more and more for the Detectives to unmask the killer.
An excellent start to a series, and I have already purchased Books 2 & 3.

This was excellent!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
