About this listen

Three fleets aim to wipe out a planet.

One team must raise the alarm...and time is running out.

As Moldark turns his attention to Capriana Prime, Magnus and his gladias attempt to convince the Republic’s leadership to raise the planetary defense shield. But this seemingly simple task turns out to be more difficult than anyone expected, placing the planet’s population in grave jeopardy.

Desperate to save the capital, Magnus and the Gladio Umbra fight to save the seat of galactic rule at all costs.

Azelon isn’t without her tricks, however, and provides new hardware for Magnus—the BATRIG mechanized battle armament system.

But as time runs out, Magnus is faced with the hardest choices of his life...and gambles will be made.

All for the greater good.

Includes a special note from the authors.

Thank you Christopher once again. I love these books as a leader of a business. They are a great escapism from the pressures of life.

Love the ruins

The change of narrator is admittedly jarring. It's like changing the entire cast of Star Trek mid-season. I'm writing this review having stuck with the series until the end. Christopher Ryan Grant grows into the role excellently and makes the series his own. This book is a transition that can be frustrating at times but it's one that's worthwhile. I considered abandoning the series more than once but I'm so glad I didn't. Stick with it. The next few books are awesome and the story's conclusion is fantastic. In a world of fake reviews, I want to conclude by saying I'm a regular listener and have no association with the authors or narrator but I felt I owed them this, having genuinely really enjoyed the series.

I urge people to stick with the series

Smashing story, the change in narrator is a bit of a juxtaposition but I got used to it. it's better listening to it at 1.1 speed.

Excellent story.

initially I found that the change of narrator made it difficult to listen to. however I found changing the speed to 1.1 made this a much better listen. Not sure if it has been uploaded with wrong speed, at 1x it was poor. Still not the same without RC Bray as I became so used to how he portrayed the characters.

love the series

Hope the pace picks up in the next book.
Although the new narrator is ok not a patch on R C Bray.

Not as good as the others
