Summary

How do you find where you're going, if you don't know where you're from?

Angie has always wanted to travel. But at 27, she has barely stepped outside the small mining town where she was born. Instead, she discovers the world through stories told to her by passing travellers, dreaming that one day she'll see it all for herself.

When her grandmother passes away, leaving Angie with no remaining family, she is ready to start her own adventures. Then she finds a letter revealing the address of the father she never knew and realises instantly where her journey must begin: Italy.

As Angie sets out to find the truth – about her family, her past and who she really is – will mysterious and reckless Italian Alessandro help guide the way?

"I loved If You Could Go Anywhere. Such a beautiful love story; not just a heady, compelling romance, but a really charming, moving story about how a life is made of so many different kinds of love. Will make every reader’s life feel a bit more magical." (Daisy Buchanan)

Predictable

This was my first audiobook and I listen to it whilst out walking. I wanted to start with something that was easy to listen to and didn’t need much thinking about. This book certainly doesn’t need thinking about! The story is slightly different to usual romance type books, however it is very predictable. It was nice to hear about different parts of the world, however I did find that I’d switch off from the story quite a lot as it was drab in parts. This didn’t hinder the story though as it is so predictable. It’s not a bad story but it’s also not one I will revisit.

Not a light hearted book

Lots of deaths! Good book but not light hearted - good for travellers who like to hear books about travelling

My favourite author- every story is a great escape

Love Paige Toons stories, most books link with another by having a main character feature as a side character in a story. Very clever as it feels like you know the people in the story better than what is provided on the page. I have read all the grown up books, and some of the teen/ young adult books too. Can’t go wrong with her books if you like romance.

Loved every minute

Paige Toon is probably my favourite author and her books never disappoint. An excellent performance from the narrator made a dull day at work much more interesting! Highly recommended.
