Nice pleasant story but it feels incomplete, we are then forced you use a credit to hear the ending. The narrator’s did an incredible job but I just feel a bit dissatisfied that the book is so say within the audible subscription but it’s not a full story or if it is the ending is left so open-ended it’s a disappointment

A story of young love. Right up until the story finished I was hoping for a different ending.

I spent the second year of my degree, aged 19 in Nanjing way back in 1999 - 2000 but so much of this story struck a chord. The friendships and romances formed, the adventures and the challenges. I’m not sure I’d really processed a lot of it until reading this. Oh and I enjoyed the spicy bits too.
